2024-2025 Team Selection/TryOut
1. Team Selection: Team selection for the VHS Boys and Girls Golf Team will be based on the following criteria; Point system, Tournament Resumes and Tryout.
2. Point System: Athletes will earn points during the summer tournament season (May 1 - August 1) based on the number of tournaments played. All players are suggested to earn a minimum of 12 points.
Total points earned will be calculated with their tryout scores to determine the 2024-2025 Roster. Point system is as followed:
- AJGA (6 points per tournament)
- Legends Tour (5 points per tournament)
- STPGA Prestige (4 points per tournament)
- TJGT Elite (4 points per tournament)
- TJGT Tour (3 points per tournament)
- STPGA Junior Tour (2 points per tournament)
- (USGA, TGA or other related events will be awarded points at coaches discretion)
3. Player Resume: Players must submit their tournament resumes NO LATER than Jul 31, 2024. Resumes must include; Tournament played (with linked results), Club membership (if available), Swing Instructor (phone number/email).
4. Tryout: Tryout date will be August 1, 2024, and will be held at Forest Creek Golf Course in Round Rock, TX. You must sign up for the tryout by JULY 21, 2024. Tee times will be sent out by July 25th @ 5pm. Players are responsible for the green fee, $25.
5. Medical Information Needed: All players must have a current physical in order to try out. A copy needs to be on file with the athletic trainers. Physicals must be received by July 21, 2024. Physicals can be sent to Linda Bowman (VHS Athletic Trainer), [email protected]
NOTE: The final roster will be determined by the point system, tournament scores (and average), and the tryout at Forest Creek GC.
